Since 2012, Jonathon Coffey has been a valued member of the De Boer, Baumann & Company team. Starting as an intern, Jon has steadily advanced through the ranks, eventually stepping into his current role as Member of the firm. He focuses on tax compliance and planning, financial statement preparation, compilations, reviews, and general business consulting. Jon serves clients across a range of industries, including agriculture, manufacturing, restaurants, trade services, and real estate. In 2025, he completed the Series 65 Security Exam and is an Investment Adviser Representative with DB&C Advisors.
Jon is highly regarded for his ability to leverage technology to increase efficiencies, making him an invaluable asset to the firm. He chairs the Firm Processes Committee and also plays an integral role as a member of the Human Resources Task Force, the SALT group, and the Ag Niche team. Additionally, Jon leads the firm’s intern recruiting efforts. Known for his excellent client service, Jon builds strong relationships with his clients and serves as a trusted advisor.
Raised in Muskegon, Michigan, Jon now resides in Grand Haven with his wife, Emily, their two sons, Callan and Jude, and their Chocolate Lab, Tully. Outside the office, Jon enjoys sports—cheering on the Detroit Lions—playing golf, hiking, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
