Dan O’Mealey has been a trusted member of the DB&C Advisors team since 2006. He partners with individuals and families to create customized wealth management strategies, oversees the installation and ongoing service of company-sponsored retirement plans, and leads the firm’s compliance and day-to-day operations.
With more than thirty years of experience as a financial advisor, Dan has guided clients through every market environment since 1996 — bull, bear, and everything in between. As a CFP® professional and fiduciary, his recommendations are driven solely by what is best for clients, with no influence from quotas or corporate agendas. He works closely with clients’ tax professionals to implement integrated, tax-efficient strategies.
Dan’s approach is grounded in a resilient “old school” work ethic. His childhood was spent on an island in Alaska, followed by four years in the United States Navy and a decade in the precision-driven tool and die trade. These experiences instilled in him the importance of hard work, meticulous attention to detail, and making every opportunity count. Demonstrating that same commitment, Dan balanced his final four years on the shop floor as a full-time student at Grand Valley State University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 1996. He went on to earn his CFP® certification in 2001 and remains an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Dan lives in Holland, Michigan, with his wife and children. Outside the office, you’ll most often find him with family, grilling year-round, spending time at the CrossFit gym, enjoying sports, or planning the next adventure.
